To accomplish its mission, Tippecanoe County ARES has developed a series of guideline documents. Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) outline operational procedures, activation conditions, resources needed, frequencies used, type of information communicated, and when to deactivate. Specific procedures for working with particular served agencies are detailed in Operations Plans (OP PLAN). These documents are not a substitute for formal training or additional information that may be communicated on a "per incident" basis. This information may be superseded by local emergency officials.
Standard Operating Procedures for Nets (NET)
Each member of Tippecanoe County ARES is responsible for thoroughly reviewing and following the procedures defined in these documents. They provide an understanding of basic TCARES net operations.
